My Natural Health Detox – How I Cut Toxins in Australia
1. Ditch Chemical Cleaners (the biggest win)
- Swapped all supermarket detergents, dishwasher tablets and rinse aids for 3-ingredient homemade versions
2. Plastics & PFAS Out
- Glass, stainless steel or ceramic only for food/drink storage
- Silicone lids instead of cling wrap
- No more “forever chemicals” leaching into food
3. EMF Protection – Aussie Edition
Non-native EMF (nnEMF) from phones, Wi-Fi and 5G opens voltage-gated calcium channels (VGCCs) leading to inflammation & poor sleep.
My simple daily fixes:
- Phone on aeroplane mode at night
- Wi-Fi router off 10 pm – 7 am (timer plug $12 at Bunnings)
- No wireless earbuds: wired or loudspeaker
- Stand 2 m from microwave when it’s on
- No LEDs, Incandescent after dark, red-light before bed
- Asleep at 10pm

- 30–50 g protein within 30 min of sunrise
- Face east to set your circadian rhythm
- Cold showers or ocean swim for metabolism boost, especially in winter
5. Whole-Food & Fasting
- Grass-fed meat, wild fish, free-range eggs, organic veg
- Zero seed oils, zero processed sugar
- Give blood every quarter
6. Clothing – Skin Is Your Biggest Organ
- Only GOTS organic cotton tees (DTG-printed – no plastisol nasties)
- One pre-wash: PFAS and formaldehyde are basically zero
Result after 18 months: sleep 7.5h solid, no afternoon crashes, skin clear, zero allergies.
